Overview

Learn the basics of administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI agents. The course explains how to manage users and access, protect workplace information, monitor Copilot use and keep AI tools secure and well governed.

Who should attend

New Microsoft 365 administrators, service-desk staff and technical support professionals who will help introduce, secure or support Copilot and AI agents in an organisation.

Prerequisites

You do not need to be an experienced Microsoft 365 administrator, but you should understand basic IT concepts and be familiar with workplace tools such as Teams, Outlook and SharePoint. Some awareness of user accounts, permissions and online security will be helpful.

What you'll learn

  1. Explore Microsoft 365 security foundations – Learn how Microsoft 365 verifies users, controls access and protects the organisation against common security threats.
  2. Introduction to Microsoft 365 core services and admin controls – Explore the administration tools used to manage services such as Exchange, Teams and SharePoint.
  3. Protect and govern Microsoft 365 data – Learn how to find and protect sensitive information, manage compliance risks and prevent inappropriate sharing.
  4. Explore Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents – Understand what Copilot and agents can do, how they use organisational information and the available licensing models.
  5. Perform basic administrative tasks for Microsoft 365 Copilot – Learn how to assign licences, manage billing, monitor adoption and govern saved or shared prompts.
  6. Perform basic administrative tasks for Microsoft 365 Copilot agents – Create and test agents, control who can use them and manage their approval, monitoring and retirement.


Please note: Some of the features demonstrated in this course require a Microsoft 365 Copilot premium licence. You can still learn the concepts without one, but if you want to build and use these AI agents during or after the course, you or your organisation will need the appropriate licence.
